Writing Articles on Psephos
Posts are great for sharing a link or dropping a quick thought, but for more serious thoughts we've added the possibility to write articles.
An article is long-form content you write directly on Psephos. Unlike posts articles are linked to your account. It has its own page, its own URL, and a proper reading experience. Think of it as a blog post.
## Writing one
You can find your drafts and articles under your profile. You get a clean, distraction-free writing area with basic Markdown formatting: bold, italic, headers, links, code blocks, blockquotes, the usual. The editor autosaves as you type so you won't lose your work.
When you're ready, click Publish. Your article gets a permanent URL at `/articles/your-title-slug/`.
## Sharing to boards
An article on its own doesn't appear in any board, only on the article feed on the home page. To get it in front of readers, you share it to boards using the "Post to board" button on the article page. You can share to up to 3 boards. Each board gets its own post linking back to your article.
When someone clicks the post in a board, they go straight to the article. Comments happen on the article page itself, not per-board, so the discussion stays in one place regardless of how many boards you shared to.
## Tagging
Use the Tag button to add up to 3 tags to your article. Tags work the same as on regular posts: they show up in the tag browsing pages and help readers find related content. If your article is shared to multiple boards, it still only appears once per tag page.
## Moderation
Articles follow the same rules as posts. Other users can report them, and the jury system applies just like anywhere else on the site.
