Tales from daily life

Board Rules

1. Text only -10 karma

Images, links or videos are not allowed.

Site-Wide Rules

These rules apply everywhere on Psephos.

1. Illegal Content -50 karma

All content must comply with applicable laws. This includes but is not limited to: child exploitation material, content promoting terrorism, illegal drug trafficking, weapons sales, fraud schemes, and copyright infringement. If it's illegal where you live, don't post it here.

2. No Pornography or Explicit Sexual Content -25 karma

Pornographic and sexually explicit content is not allowed. This includes: images, videos, or detailed written depictions of sexual acts. Discussions about sex and sexuality are fine in appropriate contexts, but keep explicit material off the platform. Artistic nudity may be acceptable if non-sexualized and relevant to the discussion.

3. No Spam or Advertising -15 karma

Don't use Psephos as your personal billboard. This includes: unsolicited promotions, affiliate link farming, repetitive self-promotion, bot-generated content, and commercial solicitation. Genuine community participation with occasional relevant links to your own work is fine, just don't be annoying about it.

4. AI-Generated Content -10 karma

AI-generated content (text, images, etc.) must always be clearly disclosed as such. Passing off AI content as your own original work is not allowed. AI content is acceptable when: discussing AI itself, the board explicitly permits it, or it's used as a clearly labeled tool (e.g., "I asked ChatGPT to summarize this"). When in doubt, disclose.

5. Be Civil -15 karma

Disagree with ideas, not people. Personal attacks, insults, harassment, threats, slurs, and targeted abuse are not tolerated. This applies to other users, public figures, and groups alike. You can criticize opinions strongly, just don't be a jerk about it. Repeated hostility will result in escalating penalties.

6. No Disinformation -20 karma

Don't systematically spread demonstrably false information. This covers: conspiracy theories presented as fact (flat earth, moon landing denial), medical misinformation (anti-vaccine propaganda, fake cancer cures), and fabricated news or events. Honest questions and good-faith discussions are welcome, but presenting debunked claims as truth to mislead others is not.

7. No Doxxing -50 karma

Never share someone's private information without their consent. This includes: real names, addresses, phone numbers, workplace, photos, or any details that could identify someone who wishes to remain anonymous. This applies even if the information is technically "public", don't weaponize it. Violations are taken very seriously.
